Gil and Eason post double-doubles as the Clippers fall to the Eagles

Box score

Bronxville, NY - Gil and Eason post double-doubles as the Clippers fall to the Eagles

The Concordia College Men's Basketball team hosted the Post University Eagles tonight.  The battle was on right at the beginning of the game with both teams pushing the ball quickly and scoring often.  With the score flipping back and forth neither team was able to take a solid lead without the other right on their coat tails.  The Clippers were the first to break free.  With Argelix Gil working well on the offensive and defensive side the Clippers were able to take and hold a lead over the Eagles.  The Clippers led the Eagles 37-31 at the end of the first half.

The second half of the game saw a different game.  Though the both teams still battled out the Clippers came out of the locker room a little flat and the Eagles jumped on the shot and sprang to life.  As the Eagles pushed hard the Clippers ran into some difficulty with fouls and unfortunately had the lead slip away.  The Clippers stayed close to the Eagles not letting them get to far ahead but in the end the Clippers fell; 68-77.

Argelix Gil led offensively and defensively for the Clippers with his double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds.  Will Eason was right behind with his double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds and also adding 4 assists.  Brandon Whitaker added 12 points while Kenny Gaskins put up 11 points and 8 assists.

The Clippers will head to Caldwell College on Thursday for another CACC match-up.
