2011-12 Concordia College Men’s Tennis Season Wrap-up
Bronxville, NY– Concordia’s men’s tennis team kept their fans on the edge of their seats again this past year with another season for the ages. The Clippers were looking to head back to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the fourth consecutive season while capturing their third straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship.

Clippers’ Head Tennis Coach Neil Tarangioli Named USPTA East Region Coach of the Year
HOUSTON – Concordia College men’s and women’s head tennis coach Neil Tarangioli has been named the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) East Region Coach of the Year. A first time honoree of the award, Tarangioli led both teams to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship victories and NCAA Tournament appearances.

Concordia Tennis Garners Multiple ITA Academic Awards
Skillman, NJ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its annual All-Academic Team awards and All-Scholar-Athlete awards with Concordia receiving multiple recognitions. Seven individual awards along with two team awards were earned by the Clippers’ men’s and women’s teams.

Seven Student-Athletes Named to the Spring CACC All-Academic Team at Concordia
New Haven, CT - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has introduced its All-Academic Team for the 2012 spring athletic season today. A total of 105 student-athletes from the 14 conference schools have earned a place on the list, five more than those recognized last spring. Concordia is represented with seven student-athletes named to the team.

Concordia’s Daniele Piludu Named ITA All-American
Skillman, NJ– Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy) has been named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American in singles on the Clippers’ men's tennis team. This is the fifth consecutive season in which Concordia has had a player named to the ITA’s All-America team on the men’s side. To be awarded the honor a player must finish the season in the Top 20 of the final Campbell/ITA National Rankings.

Concordia Ranked No. 15 in Final National Rankings by the ITA
Bronxville, NY – The Concordia College Clippers men's tennis team have been ranked No. 15 in the nation and No. 1 in the East Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in their final rankings of the season. The rankings take into account only NCAA Division II member institutions.

No. 14 Concordia Drops Heartbreaker to No. 9 Grand Canyon in NCAA Round of 16 Match, 5-4
Louisville, KY – The 14th-ranked Concordia College Clippers men's tennis team battled the Grand Canyon University Antelopes in their NCAA Round of 16 match on Thursday morning. The Clippers held a slight lead at 4-3 but the Antelopes finished strong in the last two matches for a 5-4 comeback victory as Concordia was unable to reach the NCAA Quarterfinals for the fourth consecutive season.

Louisville, KY - The Concordia Clippers men's tennis team will have to wait until tomorrow to play their NCAA Round of 16 match against Grand Canyon University as rain has officially postponed today's match.

North Andover, MA – The seventh-ranked Concordia College Clippers men's tennis team won their first-round match in the NCAA Division II Championship on Monday morning. The 5-0 shutout victory came against Merrimack College at the North Andover High School.

Indianapolis – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the 48 team field for the 2012 Division II Men's Tennis Championship on Tuesday evening. The seventh-ranked Concordia College Clippers were named the No.1 seed within the East Region.

Bronxville, NY – The seventh-ranked Concordia College Clippers men's tennis team captured the 2012 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship on Sunday afternoon. The No. 1 seeded Clippers, who won their third straight CACC title, took a 5-1 victory over the No. 3 seed Rams of Philadelphia University.

The No. 7 Concordia Clippers has seven players named to the teams along with player of the year, rookie of the year and coach of the year accolades. The voting was conducted by the conference's seven head coaches.

Concordia Men’s Tennis Looks to Reach NCAA Semifinals for Fourth Straight Year
The Concordia men’s tennis team has officially begun their 2012 spring schedule and as in the years past, making the NCAA tournament is their primary goal. After reaching the NCAA Semifinals for three consecutive seasons, it is easy to say that another appearance will be in sight for the 2012 campaign. Concordia is fresh off a 25 win season and have won 20 or more games in each of the past three seasons.

Piludu, the #3 seed, faced off against #1 seeded Lucas Jovita of Rollins College in the championship match where he lost a tough battle 6-0, 6-2.
