Nyack, NY – The Concordia College (NY) Clippers women's soccer team traveled to nearby Nyack College this afternoon for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup. The 5-0 victory for the Warriors was their third win of the season.
Nyack's Erin Farber (Brea, CA) netted the first goal only 1:18 into the game off a pass from Jennifer Jordan (Sentani, Indonesia). The Clippers would play strong defensively for the rest of the period and went into the half only down one goal.
The Warriors would turn on their offense for the second half as they took 11 shots and scored four more times. Jen Martino (East Patchogue, NY) and Stephanie Mercier (Granby, CT) scored a goal each while Kia Jelley (Deerfield, MA) scored two goals.
The Clippers were outshot 18-4 while goalkeeper Jessica Nanan (Queens, NY) recorded six saves in 90 minutes of play.
Concordia (2-6, 0-5 CACC) will look to win their first conference game of the season as they travel to face Holy Family this Saturday at 12pm.
