Kelci Hegg will begin her 5th year as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Concordia (N.Y.) during the 2017-18 academic year after being hired on Feb. 22, 2013.
Hegg, a native of Charlotte, N.C., was a member of the Vanderbilt University women's soccer team from 2002-05 where she led the team in goals and points during her senior season with the Commodores. Kelci helped lead her team to a 16-3-3 record in 2005 and an NCAA Tournament berth. Following her Senior year, Hegg became an Assistant Coach for the Commodores' women's soccer team during the 2006 season. She also was a staff coach at Tennessee United Soccer Club.
Upon moving to New York, Hegg continued her coaching career with The Greenwich Soccer Academy in Greenwich, Conn. and The Hackley School in Tarrytown, N.Y. While coaching, Hegg also played with the New York Magic, of the former W-league, where she was twice honored as 1st team defender of the week.
Hegg currently coaches the U-19 N.Y. Rush Patriots of the NYCSL in Yonkers, N.Y. and is an acting staff coach for Quickstrike Patriots FC. She was also appointed as Technical Director of New York Rush in 2016.
Kelci received her Bachelors of Science in Sociology/Criminology from Vanderbilt in 2006 and her Masters in Sports and Exercise Psychology from Seton Hall University in 2012. She currently resides in Katonah, N.Y. with her husband and two young children, Kyler and Kaelan.
