Clippers’ Win Streak Ends after 3-0 Loss to Holy Family
Philadelphia, PA – The Concordia College Clippers women's volleyball team traveled to face Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent Holy Family University this afternoon. The Tigers won 3-0 to secure at least a share of the South Division Regular Season title and snap the Clippers' three game winning streak.
Holy Family was able to begin the first set with a solid lead as they never looked back winning 25-15, 25-17, 25-11 for their fifth straight win. Jillian Keeve (La Grange, IL) led the Tigers' attack with seven kills and seven service aces while Mackenzie Bickes (Orchard Lake, MI) finished with a team-high 14 assists.
Junior's Juliann Gillespie (Clarkston, MI) and Courtney Hanson (Bellerose, NY) led the Clippers' offense with five kills apiece while Chelsea Zurcher (Crofton, MD) added four kills. Sophomore Hillary Hoffman (East Meadow, NY) recorded 13 assists while sophomore Alexis Balyeat (Elkhart, IN) recorded seven digs on the defensive end for Concordia.
The Clippers (5-17, 5-11 CACC) will have some time off to prepare for their next match. Concordia will not be in action until Thursday, October 27th as they will travel to Caldwell for a 7pm CACC match in Caldwell, NJ.
