The Clippers hosted Caldwell College in a double header CACC tennis match. The Clippers looked to continue their win streak overall and in the CACC with getting two wins over the Cougars today.
The doubles matches started as usual for the first match. With all three doubles team; Alex Grubin & Andrey Boldarev, Tamas Dobrotka & Andreas Lindell, and Dane Ostilly & Shaolin Chandam; finishing their matches within twenty minutes the Clippers were up 3-0 in the first match.
The singles were up next for both teams. The Clippers dominated each of their individual matches from start to finish. Each match finished in quick fashion with no Clipper losing their serve. The Clippers took the first match with a 9-0 score.
After a short break the second match between the two began. Once more the doubles went out first. The Clippers changed it up a little bit in the second match as Dobrotka & Lindell played at the number one spot and Raphael Namias & Felix Missal were added into the number two spot and Ostilly & Chandam stayed at the number three spot. The Clippers once more took control of each of their matches as they played and did not let up on their serve. The Cougars did get their points in when they could but the Clippers were overpowering.
After grabbing the quick 3-0 lead in the second match the Clippers looked to move on and grab another win. The Clippers changed their line-up a little bit for the singles as well so that they would not be playing the same opponents. The Clippers again moved swiftly through and were a force once more as they finished without losing a game.
The Clippers extended their win streak in the CACC and overall. The Clippers will face off against a Division I opponent tomorrow as they head to play St. John's University.
