Women’s Basketball Welcomes Dominican Wednesday

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College New York women's basketball team plays its penultimate home game of the 2018-19 season on Wednesday, Feb. 13 when Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North-Division leader Dominican College (N.Y.) comes to the Meyer Athletic Center for a 5 p.m. contest.

Concordia (5-17, 3-10 CACC) welcomes the CACC North-Division leader after falling against the South-Division leader and eighth-ranked nationally University of the Sciences 82-46 on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Clippers average 59.5 points on a .353 field goal percentage with 35.3 rebounds, 13.5 assists, 8.5 steals and 2.3 blocks.

Junior center Amiya Rankins (Somerset, N.J.) records a team-best 0.8 blocks per game that ties for eighth in the conference to go with 10.3 points while her 21.8 points per 40 minute average places third in the league.

About the Chargers
Dominican (10-12, 8-5 CACC), wraps up its current three-game road swing after falling at nationally-ranked Jefferson University 69-47 on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Chargers average 65.6 points on a .388 clip with 35.6 rebounds, 12.9 assists, 9.2 steals and 2.2 blocks.

Jasmine Gee leads the Chargers' offense with 13.5 points to go with a team-leading 0.8 blocks that ties for eighth in the conference. Korina Guerra boasts 2.5 steals that places second in the league on top of 12.7 points while Samantha McClutchy records 7.2 rebounds that ranks 10th in the CACC and Ashley Merrit dishes out 2.5 assists.
