BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Concordia College New York head women's tennis head coach Neil Tarangioli released the program's fall 2019 schedule on Wednesday, featuring 11 matches with four at the friendly confines of the Meyers Tennis Center.
The women's tennis team begins the fall slate at the annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Regional from Sept. 13-16 in Flushing, N.Y., followed by a road tilt at Adelphi University on Sept. 19.
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play opens up for Concordia at the home against Holy Family University on Sept. 21, with the Clippers next hitting the road to take on first-year program Dominican College (N.Y.) on Sept. 25. The opening month of the season wraps up at the Meyers Tennis Center against Jefferson University on Sept. 28.
Following a road tilt at Caldwell on Oct. 1, Concordia plays its final non-conference match of the fall at the University of New Haven on Oct. 3. The Clippers return home to host Chestnut Hill College on Oct. 5 before hitting the road for back-to-back away bouts at Post University and CACC Tournament Champion Wilmington University (Del.) on Oct. 9 and Oct. 12. The home docket concludes against the University of the Sciences on Oct. 15, with the fall finale at CACC Regular Season Co-Champion Goldey-Beacom College on Oct. 19.
The CACC Championship begins on Oct. 19 with the quarterfinals at the higher seed. The semifinals and finals will be hosted by Post University on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26.
Concordia went 15-8 during the 2018-19 season, earning a share of the CACC Regular Season title behind a 7-1 mark in league play while advancing to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) National Tournament.
