BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Concordia College New York volleyball interim head coach Steffany Oliveira released the program's 2019 schedule on Wednesday afternoon, featuring nine matches inside the Meyer Athletic Center and 20 contests overall.
"I am extremely excited for the upcoming season and for all the challenges," Oliveira said. "I am looking forward to seeing this team grow and improve with every match."
The Clippers begin the campaign with five-consecutive matches against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division rivals, hosting Caldwell University in the season opener on Wednesday, Sept. 18 and Post University on Thursday, Sept. 26 with road tilts at Nyack College on Tuesday, Sept. 24, Bloomfield College on Saturday, Sept. 28 and Felician University on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Following back-to-back home bouts against Chestnut Hill College and Dominican College (N.Y.) on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Tuesday, Oct. 8, Concordia hits the road to take on Holy Family University on Saturday, Oct. 12 and Caldwell on Wednesday, Oct. 16. A pair of home matches against Wilmington University (Del.) and Bloomfield on Friday, Oct. 18 and Tuesday, Oct. 22 sandwiches the Clippers' lone non-conference contest on the docket via a road match at Queens College (N.Y.) on Saturday, Oct. 19, with back-to-back road contests at Dominican and Georgian Court University on Thursday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 24 and a home date with Nyack on Wednesday, Oct. 30 rounding out the month.
The final month of the season kicks off at Jefferson University on Saturday, Nov. 2, followed by back-to-back home matches against Felician and the University of the Sciences on Tuesday, Nov. 5 and Saturday, Nov. 9 to conclude the home schedule. The 2019 season ends on the road with contests at Post on Wednesday, Nov. 13 and Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday, Nov. 16.
The volleyball team went 1-22 during the 2018 campaign, going 1-18 in CACC action.
